P.H. Mirage

P.H. Mirage rises 48 floors and 172 metres on Calle Winston Churchill in Punta Paitilla, and construction is finished. The delivery year and the developer aren't confirmed on its titles; dated from outside them, the build ran through the mid-nineties, and on completion the tower was the tallest building in Panama — a standing it held for close to a decade.

Thirty-eight apartments occupy that height. Everything the building shares — the budget, the repairs, the matters that go to assembly — is carried by those 38 households, and a single vote is a real fraction of 38.

Each of those apartments holds its own title, with one further title held by the building itself over the shared structure. Individually titled homes are the ones that can be bought, financed and resold on their own.

The glazing is what the name refers to: the exterior glass reads against the sky and softens the outline of the tower from a distance. That skin is also a maintenance item, and it belongs to the same 38 owners as everything else.
