La Fontana
La Fontana rises 20 floors in Obarrio and holds 54 registered apartments, finished in 1998.
The apartments run large: about 210 m², three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a service room and two parking spaces. Shared space is a social area with a pool, visitor parking and round-the-clock security.
The monthly fee, the repairs and every assembly vote are shared among 54 owners rather than a few hundred. Each apartment therefore carries real weight in what the building decides, and a large repair divides into 54 shares.
Obarrio is one of the older central districts of Panama City, dense and walkable. A tower finished in 1998 sits in it on different terms than new construction: the layouts, the parking arrangement and the common areas belong to their period.
