Rivage Tower

On Avenida Balboa, Rivage is a 68-story, 233-metre residential tower designed by Panamanian architect Saúl Bassan of SBA Group, whose signature move is an indoor/outdoor glassed-in patio the design was said to introduce to Panama — a feature not seen here before, set off at night by a colored fountain and beams of light that run the height of the building.

Completed in 2012 after construction that began in 2007, the tower answers that ground-level flourish with a rooftop pool on the 68th floor that looks out over the Pacific and the city skyline. Amenities run deep: three pools including an indoor lap pool, a tennis court, a squash court, a Turkish bath and sauna, a full gym, and a double-height lobby.

Apartments range from one-bedroom layouts of about 124 m² to three-bedroom homes near 206 m², with open plans, generous balconies, and Italian-cabinet kitchens. Rivage sits right on the Cinta Costera waterfront, with uninterrupted bay views, the coastal walking and biking path at its door, and quick reach to the banking district and Casco Antiguo.
